My desktop is at 1280x1024@85Hz, and that is the resolution I use with most games. Some games I even run at 1600x1200@85Hz.

I'm using Samsung SyncMaster 959NF 19" CRT display (recommended: 1280x1024 @85Hz, 1600x1200 @85Hz, maximum: 1920x1440 @74Hz)
