No, the installation of the 1.05 does that automatically.
But if you install it, your saved games will be useless, unless you download program that can convert the save-files. I think there is one in
www.nma-fallout.com but I'm not sure. But still, installing 1.05 is very good idea, since it removes several major bugs, especially those with the car
