| After hiding the corpse behind the bush, he started to sneak towards the gate. It seems that no alarm was sounded because he wasn't able to see any activity near the gates, not anywhere outside the huge walls of the city.
Strange, thought, that they left only one guard, especially when thinking what was inside the city. The same thing that was reason for Dostrem being there.
He reached the gate. It was huge, almost length of three man and even wider. It consisted two huge wooden doors, other was open making the actual passage through smaller. He made quick glance, and saw that there was nobody. Only long empty street, buildings both sides of it. The street seemed to go as far Dostrem was able to see, and what he remembered from the maps, it actually got straight throught the city connecting both gates of the city. From that street there were openings to smaller alleys, which again lead to other alleys and so on. Only largest buildings had the doors to this big street, and most of those buildngs served as govermental buildings and such.
Or, served until Goa'ulds came. As far as intelligences were right, Goa'ulds were controlling this city now, taking all natives to slaves. All except one. The one, who Dostrem was going to assassinate.
No Goa'ulds were walking in that main street. In fact, if Dostrem hadn't seen all those guards and even killed one, he would believe they had never been there. No signs of life. Actually no signs at all that would indicate someone even making a visit there. Strange.
