| LOL, when I first met Drizzt in BG1, I had no idea who he was! I couldn't tell that he was anything special, other than another NPC with whom you could interract. BG1 actually caused me to read a few more FR stories, and I picked up a few with the Dark Elf in them. Even so, he was never more than a little easter egg to me.
While a cameo by Drizzt in BG3 would feel a bit over the top to me, I think the tradition of easter eggs should continue. Unfortunately, I am doubting that BG3 will ever be made.....
