Just these kinds of "unimportant" things make this game special. Developers have put much time to conversations and all kind of other details, which don't affect strictly to the plot or even any quest. They just are there to make the world more interesting and realistic. Nowaday's games are most just getting money from the mass by using some known brands, without actually doing nothing to the things like this. Then they wonder why people play a single game only about week/two.
People, who are going to work with games should be forced to play Fallout2 so they could see a good game and learn from it.
