If you think about it, not many mainstream RPGs let you decide your 'alignment'. Usually you're there to stop the evil menace. "You were the Chosen One!!! You were supposed to destroy the Sith, NOT join them!!!"
::Sigh:: Anyway, I just figure that Lucasarts has more hope for humanity than choosing to kill every innocent and capitalize on others' losses. They ultimately probably expect people to be somewhat reasonable and humane and follow the LS storyline. Then again, people play Grand Theft Auto and get off on blowing up old ladies and such. Hmm.. Because honestly, it sounds stupid, but when you make your choices in KOTOR, pretend you're really Revan or the Exile. Would you really truly harm unfortunate people or treat them in a malicious manner?.. Or would you act as a Jedi with respect and honor? Me personally, I chose the LS every time because, and again this sounds ridiculous, but I couldn't stomach the Dark Side. I absorbed myself into the role and made the decisions that I would personally make in the situations. The fact is, if you all as human beings would truly act as one whom wields the Dark Side, then I really have lost hope in humanity.  |
