| It's been a while since I played, so I'm not sure how much help I can be. IIRC, the dark forest is the area with the Traveler camp, and the swamp is the next area. If you're just trying to advance in the game, then the swamp is where you want to be, and the exit to the next area is on one of the islands. You'll recognize it because there should be a couple of goblins with lightning guns there.
