| I think that it is a good idea. First and foremost it is a very recent setting which people haven't been able to bastardize or twist to their own champaigns. Once people have done this to a champaign setting it loses it's uniformity. People are still going through the Champaign Setting in Sharn and in my group we are now on the second quest to find that part of the schema for House D'Canith. The lightning rails and elemental carts and all these new ideas in DnD makes it easier to RP because of the novelty of some of these ideas.
I don't want to say forgotten realms is old hat, but peolpe easily recognize where Spine of the Earth is all the way across to the barbarian lands, and know how to get there and which territories to avoid while traveling there. As for low magic it's only as low magic as your DM makes it. I don't see how wizards/sorcerers will have anymore of a power gamer advantage in Eberron as they would in Forgotten Realms.
I will play DDO regardless if they wanted to put it back in Amn. I have always loved DnD and I have found a recent liking to MMORPGs, so I don't see why the marriage between the two would dissapoint me.
