| It's a very good game and I'd be one of the first in line to purchase a sequal. However, with the game's mediocre to poor sales and with Troika's closure, probably a direct sequal is unlikely. Hopefully, we'll see another White Wolf RPG down the road, though.
I was pretty happy with the nature and scope of Bloodlines. Sticking to one urban setting seems to have served the game fairly well. I'm not really interested in it being as open as a Morrowind, if it would require some of the detailed NPCs to be sacrificed. What I loved about Bloodlines was that everyone from the merchant who sold you goods, to the baron who was manipulating you, was richly interesting and engaging.
I like the idea of a sequal being more political in scope. I mean, I like the idea of a character attempting to rise in the ranks (and perhaps succeeding) in a city. Likewise, some of the consequences of this power and some of the obligationis involved in being a prince or baron could be explored, and then capped off by war with an opposing faction.
I'd like any game to continue exploring the themes of Gehenna (assuming it was a VtM and not a VtR game), as this is core. Perhaps a Gehenna chronicle game could be interesting in itself. |
