To the best of my knowledge, there are very few mods for BG1 without TotSC on it's own. Most require Tutu, because the BG2 engine allows for a lot more possibilities.
However, I do know that one of the mods in development at
http://www.pocketplane.net will be for BG1 (Echon's mod The Fields of the Dead). The old mod Dark Side of the Sword Coast is also being revived over at
http://www.chosenofmystra.net - though personally I would suggest trying to get hold of BG2 and playing Tutu.
