| I believe you actually start the game as a Fighter. You'll need to find someone to train you in the ways of a mage . The first NPC who can teach you in the ways of the mage is Mebbeth in Ragpicker's square. She'll have a couple small quests for you to do prior to being able to take that path. After that, Dak'Anon (sp?) will allow you to go from Fighter to Mage at will (meaning, he can help you resume training in either profession).
What I can't remember is if you have to be in "Mage" mode to use your mage spells and memorize spells. I think you do. |
