| I don't like one damage system better then an other.
The WoD system is logical for modern days (haven't played it midevil) and the different damages make a clear difference between mortals and supernaturals.
The d&d system has different types of damage but they all work the same. The creatures itself have modifiers and whatnot to make it logical for them how they deal/get damage. There are way to many types of creatures to work with the WoD rules. So the d&d rules work fine for d&d. Altering in ways like Grait Hairy pointed out is perfect for a DM to make combat more interesting and exciting. I do it too.
