| I do that too. Basically Alternity had like 4 independant types of damage.. I can't remember, but they affected you differently. WoD has damage which can be instantly healed or soaked and healed by spending blood points etc., and aggravated damage from fire or sunlight etc that cannot be soaked. That's how you usually go about killing a vampire at night.
