| I know the first time I did it just kinda... watched in horror as the burning insane dude downstairs clamly wandered through the door and away... he didn't seem to mind being no fire as much as burning people usualy do.

Ahem! Anyway, you might try just hangging around upstairs till he wanders off through the door, maybe the reason I didn't get swamped is cos all the other ones wander off their own way as well.
