[C Elegans]

I am not a twin, but I am presently conducting a study of twins where we examine the brains of monozygotic (MZ, identical) and dizygotic (DZ, fraternal) twin pairs in order to estimate how much of certain brain function that is genetically and environmentally determined respectively It's a very interesting study that has already received a lot of attention although it's not finished yet.

I have met several twin pairs, and it's fascinating how extremely close some of the MZ pairs are, they call each other several time a day, they speak in "we" form, just as some old married couples, they choose to live in the same neighbourhood, they choose similar educations and careers. Others are more like any siblings, but it's certainly quite special to be MZ twins!
