Gorion is actually the only person we can trust, so it's not likely he will betray Imoen. (In the original story he is the one that saves Imoen and the player char from Bhaal, and raises them up). I don't know much about the other elders, though, so we'll need Luis to tells us more about them.
I'm actually working on the very beginning from my char's point of view, so if nobody comes up with anything I'll post it sooner or later (you'd better get working, then to prevent this
