Make the game take place somewhere else and maybe a generation or two later and have those random books some of us liked to collect and horde in our favorite cache chronicle the tales of the bhaalspawn saga. That should keep those of you who want some continuation, closure, or whatever you wanna call it happy, while at the same time allowing for something completely new and fresh. Possibly starting out as a young child hearing tales of these adventurers and asipiring to become an adventurer yourself. No particular intervention that drives you from your home, just a yearning to get out and see the world. |
