Well .... as for the name.
It is only a name, if they stay "true" to the BG-series concept, I have no problem with them naming the game Baldurs Gate 3.
The problem comes if they make a game that is "unlike" the previous in concept - and call it BG, then they are trying to recapitalize.
After all, besides following the same character - Baldur's Gate 2 didn't have much to do with the city of Baldur's Gate, either
