You use the dirty-big weapons you create to kill dirty-big creatures.
Actually, I recall there is some merchant out there that will be enchanted stuff, but this comes from my first run through when the game first appeared. I don't remember whom, and I don't have it in my notes. I only recall being shocked and delighted.
