My VERY first game (which I didn't finish, I deleted it) was using a half elven cleric/mage. I hated it so much, that character is astoundingly weak, it's amazing. I mean with a party of Valygar, Korgan, Jaheira, Yoshimo and myself (Minsc got flesh to stoned
) I could not, under any circumstances defeat the tanar'ri in the Abyss (part of the Planar Sphere quest). No matter what I tried, I ALWAYS died. Anyway, I dumped that game and played my first true game (ie my first game I finished) using a monk, which is an awesome class (too bad I had a bug that made him walk normally)
