An elusive woman of mixed ethnicity, she is mostly Native American, but in her veins runs the blood of French, Spanish and Black buccaneers. Some were escaped slaves, others chose their violent vocation upon the seas for less evident reasons....
Her eyes seem bottomless. Slightly almond-shaped and veiled by smoky, gold-tinted depths, they are the first thing that people notice. She is not verbose but observes everything and everyone she encounters with unsettling scrutiny….
Possessed by the gift of prophecy ... amongst others… she lives by her wits and peddling fortunes… Occasionally, if necessity prevails or she finds a client attractive and suitably financed, she offers certain other services….. Few have the power to resist....
Sometimes men who have solicited "their fortunes" from Alba Des Glaces inexplicably vanish.... The authorities have attempted to charge her with murder but nothing has ever been proven and no bodies have ever been found. Is she responsible? That may become more clear as her tale unfolds….
