Then go into the rules folder (also in your data folder) and open the starting equipment document (again, wordpad or such).

4133 - Balor Vorpal Sword !!!
4137 - Staff of Fire
4154 - Sword of Life Stealing !!!
4195 - Composite Longbow (Str +2)
4235 - David's Sling
I think some of these were intended to be found but were cut out for some reason. Balor's sword lacks inventory graphics i.e. | Comment: very powerfull items - will imbalance the game - especially in the early moat-house levels !
