| Sometimes, the entrance can be a little hard to "get into." Just walk around and mouse around until you get through. If you have the map in question, you should be able to enter. (In any case, I think it's marked on your in-game map).
Also, if you need to warp back to the ship, do it before you go; IIRC, you cannot warp out of the Eastern Dunes.
