Hello all,
I'm a friend of Magus and this is also my first time doing this so it might not be very good. I'd also appreciate if anyone could give me suggestions too.
Gidim
Class: Human/Monster
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Level: Does not know himself
Inventory: Many blunt objects, a small wooden figurine of a boy.
Intro
Hunched over as he walks, Gidim’s image is one of a broken man. Only vaguely human anymore, dark, leathery scales cover most of his body. His eyes droop, rarely leaving his gaze at the ground. His breathe heaves, as if he is carrying some heavy burden or pushed by some invisible force.
History/Mood
Gidim doesn’t seem to remember anything about his past, or how he got here, or seems to care about either. His general pessimism pervades almost anything he does and usually gets on the nerves of others around him. He also holds a general disdain for anything magic and prefers the company of blunt objects as his traveling companions and problem solvers. This leads to a tendency of fixing problems by hitting, to the dismay of others. But besides his shortcomings, Gidim does not wish to hurt anything and only wishes to do things to pass the time till he dies.
Equipment
His body is covered by a hooded cloak, that must have been majestic and awe inspiring in days past, but isn’t much more then a tattered clothe now. With an assortment of clubs and other blunt weapons, most made of wood or metal, come a few distinctions.
Ugalla, a simple wooden club, is Gidim’s favorite weapon. Although he claims that there is no magical origin to the weapon, ugalla seems to drive undead creatures into wild fits of rage whenever it is used.
Pazuzu on the other hand, is metal rod that Gidim carries with him at all times. Utilized mostly as a walking stick, it is frequently used to put unruly people back into their place. Although simple and crude looking, Gidim is able to wield it with almost ungodly agility, as if guided by some unseeing hand.
There also hangs a small figurine of a boy around his neck. Although he has no recollection of how he got it, the hopeful expression on its face and proud stance suggests of good times in the past. Gidim only wears it because it makes him “feel better”.
Though most people are driven away by his inhuman appearance or unhappy demeanor, those who stay feel as if there is something else not right about him. Something that isn’t limited to this world alone.
