It's a cheat: it allows you to receive for free items that you would otherwise have to buy through (for instance) repeatedly killing creatures for their hides. The more you ramp up the difficulty in anything, the more sense of achievement there is in success. The more you break the scenario for an easier win, the less achievement. | Thats true, but when it's you fourth time around the game. You just want to have fun with the glitchs/cheats.
