| tarantino - overrated? well, possibly, but he's still bloody good, and pulp fiction owns my boat.
kill bill was wonderfully idiosyncratic. loved it. I would say that some of the violence was pretty strong, but it hardly comes up to the same level as the torture scene in resevoir dogs.
anyway, I don't have much of a problem with violence that is strong or startling. I find it far harder to justify the emotionless mass-murder of so many action films where countless faceless bad guys pop up, die, then disappear, without any impact at all.
basically, it's the oddest, most original and best action film I've seen for a long time.
