Hooray someone agrees with me. For a long time I thought I'd be the only one who'd enjoy the movie.
Seriously though, I completely agree with frogus. If you come in expecting an original plot plus realistic effects and well-suited music you'll be in for a surprise. The effects were way overdone (though I fell oddly satisfied by the tons of squirting blood...), the story-line was overused, and the music was straight out of an old low-budget film. However that was exactly that that made the movie so attractive.
The out-of-place music was strangely into place in the movie and for once the lack of story-line didn't disturb me. I dow... *ahem* bought the soundtrack yesterday and I have to say, it's amazing. Nancy Sinatra does a wonderful job of singing the main song and some songs (like twisted nerve) are downright disturbing.
Now don't go into the tarrantino-is-overrated bandwagon and see the movie already
