| I don't have one myself, but I've heard good things about the Lexmark multi-purpose printer/scanner/fax machines. HP is also generally a reliable brand, although you pay a little extra for their badges on the front.
Have you tried going to Cnet.com or TechTV.com to see if they have any reviews? You might also see if PC World magazine has done a story on them in the last couple of months.
