Always a personal choice - especially considering that you can fly through the game solo with no problems.
I use Linu (elf cleric) often. She is useful as a healer and can fight fairly well. I often play an elf - so she makes sense in that way as well.
Again - It really is a matter of personal taste - although if you want a trap/lock picker - Tomi would be a good choice - personally I find his voice set is unbearable after a few hours of playing....
