Correct, although they do seem to abate somewhat both in frequency and longevity once Ur is dead.

HIGHLIGHT FOR SPOILER:
Go west (almost due west form the shell) from Ald'ruhn toward the mountain range. There's only one pass through the mountains in that area. Once through the pass, the path will veer south then come to a sort-of-intersection. Turn right so you are again heading west for a few paces; there should be a fork in the road; go right and after a few more paces, take the (first) path heading north.
