Thanks for the tip. I didn't pay him the second time I tried and just left him there and went back to the mainland to work on those quests. I'm sure he'll be waiting for me on my return. The armor will make him a bit harder to kill. The damage strength knife works well on heavily armored opponents because they haven't much leeway in losing strength points before they become encumbered. If you magically resist a reflected spell does it then damage the opponent as intended or is the spell just wasted?
