| Yep, I did this last night. Actually, I found out (while browsing their site for possible solutions) that my W-XP Professional goes totally unsupported, so I have a good reason to believe that there is no way to fix the problem. I wiped off all files, reinstalled the game and patches (I am a stubborn sort), restarted... to no avail. Looks like the d*** thing corrupted something somewhere. The bottom line: if you have outdated win-95/98, you are fine; if you own, God forbid, win-2000/XP, you are doomed. I'll be waiting for Ubi Soft reply. |
