I totally disagree. "You don't have to face other people" doesn't mean you can do/say whatever you like. If everyone (and I mean "everyone" who use internet) have descent coommon sence and hold saying something which *could* offend others, we don't any rules in the first place. Unfortunately, that is not the case, and never will be.

Buck created the Speak Your Mind (SYM) forum, because there are some members who enjoy non-topic related posts, or spam. I am having fun with that kind of conversation myself (I hardly post anything game related now
). However, I am also well aware that many members are annoyed by those spamming and off topic posts, particularly when they have questions about games and computers.
If you see carefully, the number of regular posters in the SYM is far less than regulars in BG2 or or other gaming forum. It shows GameBanshee is very much the game/RPG site, and not one of those "anything goes" site.
