Rapier, with respect, as I suggested, P:T isn't IWD.
http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I'd rather play a game with a lot of personal options than a lot of weapons options. But if you really want weapons, I think you're understating the case for P:T.
Consider, off the top of my head:
The Entropic Blade. A talking weapon, +2 THAC0, silver, magical, +2 enchantment.
Widowmaker: +2 enchantment, +2 THAC0, +2 damage, poisons with a successful hit, +25 poison resistance
Runeblade: -4 THAC0, 50% magical resistance
Not to mention that you could keep Trias' sword instead of returning it to him, in which case you can remake it into a dagger, gauntlets, club, axe or hammer which does 3-18 damage, +10 fire damage, and has a +3 enchantment! Given the level of opponents, these are extremely powerful weapons in the game.
There are also a ton of oddball enchanted weapons, including many gauntlets, teeth, daggers, tons of interesting bolts (like the Bolts of Wincing, which are +1 enchanted and do +6 slashing damage when they hit).
