I'm not sure if or how the in-game music is extractable from the game's installation.
But I do have the music tracks in mp3 format on the bonus cd that came with the Collector's Edition of BG2:SoA.
And I also have the BG1 soundtrack CD that came with the BG1 Original Saga box set.
And I also have the IWD soundtrack CD that came with the IWD Ultimate Collection box set.
And I was able to download mp3 files for all the music that's in BG2:ToB, and also Planescape:Torment! (I don't remember where I got them from.)
All of the above music is fantastic, and as far as I'm concerned, doesn't get nearly enough recognition.
Now, as for switching this beautiful music with your other 'themes' (*tck*), couldn't you just turn the in-game music all the way down from the in-game options menu, and play the game while having Windows Media Player play 'whatever' in the background?
