I understand that I don't have to take him with me anywhere. But I have been using an open party spot to do alot of the NPC specific quests even though I'm not interested in keeping the NPC's. My question was in reference to a certain incident involving Yoshimo that can lead to a very large experiance pay off down the road. I wanted to play this part of the game but I was trying to avoid dragging Yoshimo around while doing the various quests that the Shadow Theives make you perform before they ship you out. Ideally I would just like to add him to the party right before sailing.
