Well... That's actually the opposite of what I intended to point out.  What I wanted to say was that there are many interesting melee builds but only a few classes that specialize in ranged weapons.
However, thanks for your contribution. You seem to be well versed in Baldur's Gate. What's your favorite class in ToB?
