Perks: Level 4
Child at Heart (1 Rank)

This perk greatly improves your interactions with children, usually in the form of unique dialogue options. Requires CH 4.

Our grade: C. There aren’t very many children in the game, so this perk is only useful if you want to see as many dialogue options as possible.

Comprehension (1 Rank)

With the comprehension perk, you gain one additional skill point whenever you read a skill book. Requirs IN 4.

Our grade: A+. There are over 300 skill books scattered throughout the wasteland, and so this perk can potentially be worth over 300 skill points. That beats the heck out of every other skill perk in the game.

Educated (1 Rank)

With this perk, you gain three more skill points every time you advance a level. Requires IN 4.

Our grade: A. If you take this perk at level 4, then you’ll gain 48 skill points from it over the remainder of the game. That makes it the second best skill perk in the game.

Entomologist (1 Rank)

With the entomologist perk, you do +50% damage every time you attack mutated insects, such as the radroach, giant ant, and radscorpion. Requires IN 4, Science 40.

Our grade: D. You won’t face many insects in the game, and insects aren’t usually the enemies you’ll have trouble with.

Iron Fist (3 Ranks)

For each rank of this perk, you do an additional 5 points of unarmed damage. Requires ST 4.

Our grade: B. This perk is pretty useful if you’re playing a character specializing in unarmed combat.

Scoundrel (3 Ranks)

Take the scoundrel perk and you can use your wily charms to influence people. Each rank raises your Speech and Barter skills by 5 points. Requires CH 4.

Our grade: C. You shouldn’t have too much trouble accumulating money in the game, making the barter skill iffy.
