Perks: Level 2
Daddy's Boy / Daddy's Girl (1 Rank)

Just like dear old Dad, you've devoted your time to intellectual pursuits. You gain 5 points to your Science and Medicine skills. Requires IN 4.

Our grade: C. Lots of perks increase your skills by 10 points, so we consider them all to be "average".

Gun Nut (3 Ranks)

You're obsessed with using and maintaining a wide variety of conventional firearms. With each rank of the perk, you gain 5 points to your Small Guns and Repair skills. Requires AG 4, IN 4.

Our grade: C. Lots of perks increase your skills by 10 points, so we consider them all to be "average".

Intense Training (10 Ranks)

With this perk, you can allocate another point to any of your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes.

Our grade: B. You won't get many attribute points to spend when creating your character, so taking this perk up to ten times will help you get your attributes where you want them. Of particular note, if you add intelligence at level 2, then you'll gain 18 more skill points over the course of the game, which is almost double what you'd get from the standard skill perks.

Lady Killer / Black Widow (1 Rank)

In combat, you do 10% extra damage against male (Black Widow) or female (Lady Killer) opponents. Outside of combat, you sometimes receive unique dialogue options when dealing with the opposite sex.

Our grade: C. Human enemies are usually the easiest to kill, so the extra 10% damage isn't necessary. That means this perk is only really useful if you want to see as many dialogue options as possible.

Little Leaguer (3 Ranks)

Years as the Vault little league MVP have honed your hitting and throwing skills. With every rank of the perk, you gain 5 points in Melee Weapons and 5 points in Explosives. Requires ST 4.

Our grade: C. Lots of perks increase your skills by 10 points, so we consider them all to be "average".

Swift Learner (3 Ranks)

With each rank of this perk, you gain an additional 10% every time experience points are earned.

Our grade: D. The level cap is 20, and you'll most likely reach it well before the end of the game. The extra experience from swift learner is nice, but it just isn't worth using a precious perk.

Thief (3 Ranks)

With each rank of this perk, you gain 5 points to your Sneak and Lockpick skills. Requires AG 4, PE 4.

Our grade: C. Lots of perks increase your skills by 10 points, so we consider them all to be "average".
