Main Quest: Rebirth

Did we miss anything in this section? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Background

Jeyne Kassynder has fled to the Mournweald, where she plans to use the power of her mother's gods to raise an army of archons.

Walkthrough

You'll receive this quest at the conclusion of the quest On Holy Ground.

Return to the Rukkenvahl

To follow Jeyne to the Mournweald, you'll need to return to the elevator you used to visit the top of the Spire. This time when you activate it, you'll travel down to the bottom of the Spire, where you'll discover a small dungeon containing a few things of interest: a save point, a treasure chest (which you'll only be able to loot if you left Fitch in his cell during the quest Dungeon Siege), Fitch the shopkeeper (his goods will depend on what you did during the quest Dungeon Siege), and a Causeway. Going through the Causeway will allow you to return to the Legion Chapterhouse in the Rukkenvahl.

Open the Causeway

When you arrive at the Legion Chapterhouse, you'll run into Armand and Lazar, and you'll learn that Jeyne has already started calling down archons from the sky. Before dealing with this problem, you'll need to escort Armand and Lazar back to the Causeway that you just came through so that they can make their escape. When this happens, Armand will give you the key to the lower level of the Chapterhouse, which will allow you to reach the East Forest.

Exit the Chapterhouse

The Chapterhouse will continue to collapse around you as you make your way to the downstairs exit, but you won't have to fight anything during this time.

Find Jeyne

Inside the East Forest, you'll come under attack from dark archons and a daeva. You won't find any treasure chests in the area, so you'll just need to make your way slowly and carefully to the eastern side of the forest, where you'll discover the entrance to the Mournweald.

Inside the Mournweald, you'll meet up with the Radiant Youth, and he'll warn you about what you'll encounter ahead, including "something much worse" than the archons and daevas. To find out what this thing is, you'll need to travel east and then south through the Mournweald, killing archons and daevas as you make your way.

Confront Jeyne

When you reach Jeyne (#1), she'll call forth a giant Corrupted Creator, and you'll have to fight it. This battle will proceed in two parts. In the first part, you'll have to deal with the Creator's right hand, plus some summoned archons. If you have ranged attacks, then this part shouldn't be too bad; you'll just need to dodge the Creator's attacks and hit its hand when you can. If you don't have ranged attacks, then you'll have to wait for the Creator to put its hand on the ground (which it'll do every so often) and beat on it as much as you can during this time.

In the second part of the battle, you'll have to deal with the Creator's head, plus an assortment of enemies including daevas, drakkenweyrs and archons. It isn't actually necessary to defeat the added creatures, as every so often the Creator will swallow them up and rest its head on the ground. When this happens, you should attack its head as much as possible, using your best abilities if possible. During the other times, you should concentrate on dodging more than attacking. If you have an area attack like Aura of Immolation or Geometry of Annihilation, then you should feel free to use it to get your Chaos: Vampire attribute to kick in some extra healing.

When you wear down and finish off the Corrupted Creator, Jeyne will surrender, and you'll have to decide what to do with her. Then the ending cinematic sequence will play, and you'll learn how your actions have affected the people of Ehb. Congratulations for completing Dungeon Siege 3!
