Diablo 3 was bad to start, on this front, but did improve. Various items could change your build or make a new build viable. That was great. In the end, why didn't I like it as much as Diablo 2? I don't know exactly, I quest glitch the bosses in Diablo 2 so they drop your quest drop all the time (make a game with a character that has credit, kill the boss with someone that doesn't have credit, voila), so I get lots of uniques and sets...I think I prefer playing HC, but in Diablo 3 there are too many insta deaths, while in Diablo 2 you get time to make decisions, there haven't been insta deaths there since they removed Iron Maiden from the Oblivion Knights, I guess there is still the Nightmare fire enchanted bug, but I am so used to that one that it's not something I worry about.
