Walkthrough

When you accept this quest from Lord Arphaun, you’ll learn that a group of “Templar fanatics” is stuck at the Embankment Redoubt, and that they won’t take any orders from him. He’ll then ask you to go to them and guide them to safety.

When you arrive at the Embankment Redoubt, you’ll find yourself in the basement of a building. At the top of the building you’ll discover a Command Interlink Computer, and clicking on it will put you in charge of the fanatic soldiers. You’ll then need to use the commands on the computer to guide the soldiers to the zone exit.

The “move” command (1) starts out mapped to the left mouse button, so you’ll simply need to click where you want your soldiers to go. If you move your soldiers slowly, then they’ll only encounter a few demons at a time, and you’ll be able to call in air strikes (3) and heal them (5) for each battle.

The complication comes at the end, where the soldiers will encounter a unique demon named Beelzebub. Beelzebub will constantly spawn lesser demons to assist him, so you’ll have a tough time getting your soldiers to damage him unless you explicitly target him (4). Once you spot Beelzebub, you can also just repeatedly call in air strikes on him and defeat him that way (the air strikes themselves won’t do a lot of damage, but they might ignite him, which will). Demons don’t see very well in the quest, so you might be able to guide your soldiers forward until Beelzebub appears at the edge of the screen, and then air strike him to death while the demons stand around and do nothing.

If your soldiers get killed, then you’ll get four new soldiers to work with, and you’ll just have to start back at the beginning. However, demons won’t re-spawn along the path to the end (or they’ll re-spawn very slowly), and so it shouldn’t take much time to return to where you were. That means you can just brute force your way through the quest if you want to, and spawn new soldiers as necessary.

When you finally kill Beelzebub, a portal will appear over his body. Moving your soldiers to the portal will end the sequence and put you back in control of your character, and then you’ll just need to return to Charing Cross Station and report to Arphaun to complete the quest.
