This part of the sewers is the home base of the kobold commandos in Baldur’s Gate. Be careful not to be caught unaware. Besides that there is nothing of interest.
1- TO THE UNDERCELLAR
2- CORPSES:
There are 2 corpses dumped in the water around this spot. If you are on Arkion’s quest you can collect one of them and bring it to him (Eastern part of BG).
3- SEWER CLEANER:
He tells you that you shouldn’t be there because it is *dangerous* and that it stinks. I hope he is paid well to do such a job!
4- TO THE EASTERN SEWERS
5- RATCHILD AND 10 KOBOLD COMMANDOS:
Ratchild is the master of the kobold commandos of the sewers and no matter what you say he attacks you. The fight can be quite tough if you are caught unaware because there are kobolds in each of the tunnels around. Your best bet is to send in a fighter wearing the Boots of Avoidance and the Girdle of Piercing and to leave the rest of your party in one of the tunnels. Once the dialog is finished target Ratchild first as he can cast some spells. He is worth 350 Exp. and he carries 20 Arrows of Fire. Then take care quickly of his subjects who carry 2 Arrows of Fire each.
