Cloakwood Mines 3

Did we miss anything in this location? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

The mine has 4 levels, each with a different purpose. The upper level is used as a mining site. The second level is used as a prison and as a storehouse. The third level is used for the forge and for the soldiers’ rooms. Finally, the fourth floor is used by Davaeorn himself. He has his room, kitchen, library and even a shrine in there.

1- HAREISHAN:

A mage who has obviously been charged to stop your progression. She is also flanked by 2 Black Talon Elites, 3 Guard Archers and 6 Guards. The fight is not so easy if you blindly run into them because she is a good spell caster and that the Black Talons are good archers. Your best course of action is to stand in the corridor North of the room and to cast 2-3 Fireballs inside. This will clean the room of most guards and the rest should be easy to deal with. Hareishan is worth 1200 Exp. and she has some loot on her: Adventurer’s Robe, 310 gp., Ghoul Touch, Haste and Potion of Explosions. Be sure to check the Black Talon corpses for some Arrows of Ice and Arrows +1.

2- PRISON:

Rill: The secret leader of the slaves. He asks for 100 gp. to bribe the Black Talons Captain in order to allow him and the other slaves to escape. If you have a good aligned party, give him the money, otherwise don’t.

Yeslick: Yeslick (LG, Dwarf Male, Fighter/Cleric) is the last survivor of the colony who inhabited the mines some 125 years ago. Unfortunately, they breached a wall leading to the river and the whole mine was flooded, killing most of his clan. He then traveled to Baldur’s Gate where he was hired as smithy by Reiltar. Since he is naive and not so bright, Yeslick told him about the existence of the mines and Reiltar tortured him until he revealed its location. Since then, Reiltar drained the mine and Yeslick was held prisoner inside. He asks you if he can join your cause and flood the mine in the process.
