Cloakwood Mines 1

Did we miss anything in this location? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

This old dwarven mine was discovered some time ago by the Iron Throne who drained all the river water from it and established a base here. They use it mainly to forge iron weapons of quality that they intent to sell for an exorbitant price during the upcoming war. They guard their mine well, so be careful. Unfortunately for them, you are not about to let their plan unfold as they expected.

1- LAKADAAR:

One of the Iron Throne guards who inquires as to why you are in this part of the forest. If you tell him that you are chasing Wyverns and that they have poisonous tails, he will flee like a rabbit. Otherwise, he summons 4 other guards and attacks you.

2- DRASUS, GENTHORE, REZDAN AND KYSUS:

The elite of the bounty hunters in the region, these ones have been sent here by Reiltar (leader of the Iron Throne, Sarevok’s foster father) himself to stop you. Drasus and Genthore are both fighters with a high THACO and plenty of HPs. Rezdan and Kysus are mages who cast such things as Improved Invisibility, Mirrored Image, Fear, Confusion and Flame Arrow. The fight can be quite hard if you are not well prepared. I recommend summoning some monsters to hold them back while you kill them with missile weapons. Alternatively, you can use a Wand of Fire to roast them while outside their line of sight(takes a while but you take no damage!). All in all, they are worth 5600 Exp. and they have some good loot: Boots of Speed, Morning Star +1, Plate Mail +1, Potion of Frost Giant Strength, Mage Robe of Cold Resistance and Traveler’s Robe.

3- BARRACKS:

There are 2 Guards downstairs and 1 wimp upstairs who asks you to let him live. If you search the chests downstairs you’ll find a Potion of Magic Shielding.

4- ENTRANCE TO THE MINES:

There are 2 Guards who try to prevent you from taking the stairs to the mines. Kill them and continue your quest.
