Cloakwood Forest (AR1600)

This part of the forest, the westernmost, shelters the headquarters of the Shadow Druids, a group of violent druids who believe only in radical means to protect the forest, including murder. They are not many, however, and since they are also the enemies of the Iron Throne they will let you through. Apart from the druids, watch out for wild beasts in this area, they are quite numerous.


1- ELDOTH:

A wandering bard from Baldur’s Gate, Eldoth (NE, Human Male, Bard) asks for your assistance to free his lover, Skie, from the manor of her father, Duke Entar Silvershield. For the moment, he will join you in whatever quest you are on if you promise to assist him once you arrive in Baldur’s Gate. NOTE: Skie will only join your party if Eldoth is with you.


2- LASKAL:

A druid who pretends to have a message for the Iron Throne. If you pretend to belong to the organization, he attacks you. Otherwise, he tells you that you can find their mine to the East and also gives you a Potion of Invulnerability.


3- TAKIYAH:

A Shadow Druid who asks you to tell him the reasons why you are in the forest. If you say that you are chasing the bandits in the region, he lets you go. If you say otherwise, he attacks you. He is very easy to dispatch and is only worth 120 Exp. NOTE: If Jaheira is in your party, Takiyah attacks you no matter what.


4- FALDORN:

Another Shadow Druid, this one asking for your assistance to clean the forest of the Iron Throne organization. Faldorn (TN, Human Female, Druid) offers to join you if you accept.


5- TREE HOUSE:

Amarande: The Shadow Druids’ Archdruid. He lets you pass if you say that you’re chasing the bandits in the region. Otherwise he attacks you. He is worth only 120 Exp. NOTE: If Jaheira is in your party, he attacks you no matter what.

Loot: Potion of Freedom, Potion of Healing, Antidote and 10 Bullets +1.


6- IZEFIA:

Yet another Shadow Druid who asks you why you are in the forest. Once more, you can either tell him that you are chasing the bandits in the region or something else. In the first case, he asks you to take care of Peter of the North, a defiler of the forest you can find at location (7). Otherwise, he attacks you. NOTE: If Jaheira is in your party, he attacks you no matter what.


7- CAVE:

Peter of the North: A henchman of the Iron Throne organization who pretends to be a woodsman. If you push him on his motives, he admits working for the Iron Throne and training the 2 Baby Wyverns for a future work at the mines. He then attacks you with his 2 pets. Dispatch them for 1140 Exp., 6 Arrows of Ice and 10 Arrows +1.
