Baldur's Gate (Eastern) [Chapter 7]

Did we miss anything in this location? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

This part of the city is particularly interesting as you can meet some people who tell you what’s been going on since you left the city. Be careful not to be caught by the Flaming Fist Enforcers.

1- HUSAM:

Your good old friend Husam is still around Baldur’s Gate and awaits you near the gates. He tells you that he still likes you despite you being murderers. If you accept he also gives you some information about what happened in the city since you left. It appears that your old friend Scar got assassinated and that Duke Eltan is sick. Husam then tells you to meet him by the Blushing Mermaid (North-Eastern part of BG) if you need more information.

2- DELTHYR:

He tells you that he is the representative of those who harp (the Harpers obviously!). He too tells you that Scar got killed and that Grand Duke Eltan got sick during your absence. It also appears that Sarevok and the Iron Throne are planning to take control over the city and that Sarevok has put a price on your heads, claming that you are agents from Amn sent to cause trouble in the region. If you tell Delthyr that you have been framed he answers a few more of your question and then tells you to meet him at the Three Old Kegs (Northern part of BG).

3- TAMOKO:

Sarevok’s lover meets you in front of the Sorcerous Sundries. She says that she does not wish to be your friend or someone you can trust but that she must speak with you because of the circumstance. If you’re nice with her she tells you that Duke Eltan’s healer is in fact poisoning him and that you should save the duke. She also tells you to meet her in front of the Flaming Fist Castle because she has something to ask you.

4- THIEVES’ GUILD:

Denkod: Once you’ve saved Dukes “Belt” and Liia Jannath at the Duchal Palace(see Northern part of BG for more details) and that Sarevok has fled the scene you’ll be teleported in the Thieves’ Guild where Denkod will tell you that an Armored Figure has fled to the thieves’ warrens beneath the guild. He warns you that the warrens are dangerous, however, and to supply well before venturing through them. I have myself prepared a little shopping list for you at the Sorcerous Sundries. I also recommend resting with your whole party and choosing the spells you want memorized because the final fight is pretty near. Once you’re done, just venture in the Thieves’ Warrens after Sarevok.

5- SORCEROUS SUNDRIES:

You can buy a lot of good items inside and be sure to be well stocked before you engage in the Thieves’ Warrens. This will lead you to the final fight which is far from being trivial! Here’s a list of things which are worth buying: Arrows of Detonation, Arrows of Dispelling, Potion of Fire Resistance, Potion of Fire Giant Strength, Potion of Cloud Giant Strength, Potion of Storm Giant Strength, Oil of Speed, Potion of Explosions, Oil of Fiery Burning, Potion of Magic Blocking, Potion of Magic Shielding, Potion of Magic Resistance, Protection from Magic scroll, Protection from Fire scroll, Protection from the Undead scroll, Wand of Fire and anything else you judge useful. I’m telling you this because the final battle will be a lot easier if you have all these items with you.

F- FLAMING FISTS PATROL AREA:

You should avoid this area as much as possible, else you’ll get arrested and you’ll be brought to Angelo at the Flaming Fist Castle where you’ll be put in prison. Not a very nice scenario, is it? Also don’t fight any soldiers or you’ll lose a lot of reputation.
